Here we are in the middle of the busiest month of the year. How do you keep up with your ministry responsibilities amidst everything else that's calling for your attention?
My December is crazier than normal this year. On the 10th, I'm getting a new hip. Arthritis has destroyed my right hip socket, and this is one surgery I've been looking forward to. But it means that my recovery process will interfere with my work as well as the usual Advent preparations and Christmas events.
What is interfering with your ministry? What are you doing about it?
God is always in charge of the timing of everything, especially when we give Him our consent. Therefore, even distractions and interferences can be divine appointments. Tell me: What are you doing to turn the stress of being too-busy into a blessing that can enhance your ministry?
Spend some quiet time in prayer asking the Holy Spirit to help you answer this question. And then let me know!
I'm taking this season one day at a time. Although I've been counting down the days till my new hip, I'm still seeking God in the moment of the here and now. And I'm turning what I learn from it into words that will help others. That's how I came up with the topic for this issue of Ministry Excellence.
